Apa itu mekanisme Antikythera?

Pada Seratus lima Belas silam lalu tepatnya tanggal 17 Mei 1902, seorang arkeolog dari Yunani bernama Valerios Stais menyaring beberapa artefak dari kapal karam di Antikythera. Kapal kargo Romawi yang rusak ditemukan dua tahun sebelumnya. Stais adalah orang pertama yang memperhatikan proses menarik perunggu di antara harta karun tersebut. Itu tampak seperti roda gigi atau roda. Potongan logam yang terkorosi itu ternyata merupakan bagian dari mekanisme Antikythera, sebuah komputer astronomi analog kuno.

Mekanisme Antikythera dapat melacak posisi planet, meramalkan gerhana bulan dan matahari, dan bahkan memberi isyarat pada Olimpiade berikutnya. Mekanisme ini juga digunakan untuk pemetaan dan navigasi. Sebuah dial di bagian depan menggabungkan kalender zodiak dan matahari, sementara memanggil di belakang menangkap siklus surgawi. Model komputer berdasarkan tomografi tiga dimensi telah mengungkapkan lebih dari 30 gigi canggih, bertempat di kotak kayu dan perunggu seukuran kotak sepatu.

Mekanisme awalnya bertanggal sekitar tahun 85 SM, namun studi terbaru menunjukkan bahwa hal itu mungkin lebih tua (sekitar tahun 150 SM). Perangkat bertenaga engkol jauh di depan waktunya. Komponennya sama rumitnya dengan jam pada abad ke-18.

Antikythera sendiri merupakan sebuah pulau yang berada di Yunani. Luasnya mencapai 20,43 kilometer persegi. Pulau Antikythera berada di antara gugusan Kepulauan Ionia. Perjalanan antara Antikythera ke Athena, ibu kota Yunani, dapat ditempuh sekitar 50 menit dengan penerbangan. 

Berikut adalah 8 fakta tentang mekanisme Antikythera:

1. Pulau kecil

Antikythera merupakan sebuah nama pulau di bagian selatan Yunani. Masuk kedalam daerah administratif Attica. Nama Antikythera ju

ga diberikan untuk sebuah selat di sekitar pulau tersebut. Tak lebih dari 40 kilometer ke arah tenggara, terdapat 'pasangan' dari pulau ini yang diberi nama Pulau Kythera. Pulau Antikythera hanya memiliki luas sekitar 20 kilometer persegi. Populasi masyarakat di pulau ini tak sampai 100 orang yang terbagi ke dalam tiga titik kompleks pemukiman.

2. Bangkai kapal dagang

Pada 1900, sekelompok pencari harta karun mendatangi wilayah tersebut. Melalui upaya penyelaman, mereka lantas menemukan sebuah bangkai kapal di kedalaman 150 kaki. Eksplorasi bangkai kapal tersebut berlangsung sampai 1901. Belakangan dipastikan bahwa kapal ini merupakan kapal dagang bangsa Romawi yang tenggelam pada Abada ke 1 Sebelum Masehi, tepatnya sekitar tahun 85-60 SM, atau hampir 2.000 tahun sebelum ditemukan.
Di dalam bangkai kapal, ditemukan berbagai barang berharga seperti macam-macam patung, benda-benda keramik, dan koin perak. Barang-barang itu ternyata berusia jauh lebih tua dari kapal yang membawanya, sebagian besar berasal dari abad ke 4 SM. Setelah dilakukan upaya pengangkatan, barang-barang dari bangkai kapal lantas menjadi koleksi Museum Arkeologi Nasional Yunani di Kota Athena.

3. Dibiarkan 50 tahun

Di antara barang-barang dagangan yang ditemukan di bangkai kapal, tidak disadari bahwa terdapat puing-puing benda kuno dengan bentuk yang aneh. Bentuknya berupa rangkaian benda melingkar serupa gir bergerigi pada masa sekarang. Sedikitnya, terdapat tiga puluh gir berbahan perunggu dalam rangkaian tersebut. Tersimpan dalam sebuah kotak kayu yang berukuran tak lebih dari sebesar kotak sepatu. Rangkaian ini dianggap tak terlalu penting dibandingkan benda-benda bernilai jual lainnya yang ditemukan di dalam kapal.
Lima puluh tahun setelah ditemukan, yakni pada 1951, baru dilakukan penelaahan terhadap benda ini. Puing-puing itu diketahui merupakan satu kesatuan mesin yang diyakini bisa dioperasikan secara mekanis.Artefak ini kemudian disebut dengan mekanisme Antikythera, diambil dari nama pulau tempat ditemukannya benda itu bersama artefak-artefak lainnya.
Hasil penelitian pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh fisikawan sekaligus sejarawan Derek de Solla Price pada 1974. Artinya, butuh 20 tahun lebih untuk penelitian tahap awal ini. Itu pun, belum sampai pada mengetahui cara kerja dari mekanisme Antikythera. Termasuk untuk apa benda tersebut diciptakan. Pasalnya, sang fisikawan keburu meninggal pada 1983.

4. Komputer kuno

Rumitnya struktur bentuk, terutama kesesuaian bentuk gir-gir dari mekanisme Antikythera, dianggap sebagai benda yang terlalu modern jika diciptakan pada kisaran waktu sebelum masehi. Namun sejumlah peneliti berhipotesis bahwa benda tersebut merupakan komputer kuno. Mereka berpendapat, jika komputer yang diciptakan pada masa sekarang bekerja secara digital, maka sudah selayaknya pada masa lalu terdapat komputer analog.

5. Jam astronomi

Dalam sebuah rekonstruksi bentuk, 30-an gir tersebut diketahui bisa dioperasikan dengan cara memutar engkol tangan. Lantas perunggu-perunggu bergerigi itu akan berputar maju atau mundur. Pada bagian tertentu, ditemukan tanda zodiak-zodiak Yunani dan tanda hari dalam kalender Mesir. Dari sana baru muncul dugaan bahwa mekanisme Antikythera merupakan sebuah jam astronomi.

6. Ramalkan gerhana

Lebih istimewannya lagi, perangkat mekanisme Antikythera diketahui bisa memprediksi terjadinya gerhana baik bulan maupun matahari, termasuk memetakan posisi dan fase edar bulan. Bisa pula melacak musim untuk kebutuhan pertanian. Penghitungan kalender pada alat ini berdasarkan pada rentang waktu dari satu bulan purnama ke bulan purnama berikutnya.

7. Buku panduan

Keunikan lainnya pada mekanisme Antikythera adalah ditemukannya rangkaian tulisan lain menggunakan aksara Yunani kuno di benda tersebut. Setelah diteliti, tulisan di bagian belakang benda ini sejenis buku panduan pada perangkat masa sekarang. Di sana terkandung cara pembuatan perangkat, cara menggunakan, serta sejumlah pengetahuan astronomi yang sudah terkuak pada saat alat ini dibuat.

8. Misteri pembuatnya

Meski fungsi alat tersebut sudah banyak diketahui, namun masih menjadi misteri sampai saat ini terkait siapa, di mana, dan bagaimana si pembuatnya merakit alat tersebut. Juga digunakan oleh siapa dan untuk keperluan apa perangkat mekanisme Antikythera ini. Sejumlah dugaan muncul. Kelebihan DB ini

banyaknya pemain baru, transfer musim ini, dan segudang pemain muda bertalenta ada di update-tan ini. 

Kekurangannya cuma satu sob, Umurnya yang belum berubah, masih ngikutin DB FM 2008 yg asli. memang sedikit aneh sih pas maininnya, tapi jika ada Update -tan terbaru yang telah sempurna pasti Kid -oest News langsung share ke sobat.

Tornado reported during storm in Oxfordshire

It was spotted in several places, including Bicester, Eynsham, Kidlington and South Leigh, on Monday afternoon.
Large hailstones were also reported during the storm, which is thought to have started in Wiltshire and moved to Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
One forecaster said it was almost certainly a tornado, thought to have been caused by a special kind of storm.
Brendan Jones, from Meteogroup, said: "At the moment it's difficult to say exactly where the tornado was because while the parent thunderstorm travelled all the way across the south Midlands, it wasn't necessarily producing a tornado all the time.

Inspiration

There is one such story film imprint in my head. The title is Forest Gump. So love him the same film, until now already three times I've watched this movie. One of the scenes that I really liked is that in describing his prologue by a piece of flying feathers, floating around more follow the wind.

There is a strong reason why I really like the same movie at the same time starring Tom Hanks. In my opinion, the values in the same film, a closely similar really our lives a day. A story about a matter a fact of life that often does not correspond to the expectations and ideals. More recently, the memory of this film back street story popped into my head. A bit of me you know the plot. In the film's release in 1995, which would like to convey to the Director in his possible about the life process. From one scene to another scene, describe the characters in the movie when trying reaching ideals. They are so obsessed with the hope of each. Come to a when the fact was not in favour of hope. They then escape from the problem, then became frustrated.

However , in the later part film that have inspired me it is told how forest and teman- his friend start terms with their hopes . Yes , , in this life is often times harapan couldn ' t always come true . Some of us may be angry with himself . Or accuse others for failure who afflicts . Life is often according to what imagined . Diverse problems begin to appear time we will not accept reality . If like this a person will start living in the dream That slowly will make alive be added broken . I think , indeed sick it feels if what has that long we want and to dead , we will try to fail to gained by the . But so , nature having its own way to make human flourishing at maturity .

If considering the prologue of the film , life is resembling bristles that it drifts down there to here . We will not can guess would where are we in the day , or will be what we next few years .
